GPD was established to uncover root causes of complex R&D and Engineering teamwork frustration. For years we have crafted and deployed an innovative platform called TeamPort based on these insights on the physics of teams and work. While working at some of the largest tech companies in the world, regardless of the PM approach (it could be Kanban, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Spiral, Set-based, or a company-specific process), we have witnessed the same impacts over and over again: unrealistic and overly detailed plans, teams losing motivation, schedules slipping, budgets blown, scope changing, and quality suffering.
As experience engineers and scientists, we knew there had to be a better way. We set out to build is a holistic and analytical approach to technology and project management, grounded in research.
